MACON, Ga. (WMGT) — A Georgia teen got the surprise of a lifetime from a stranger who answered the prayer she attached to balloons.
Mykehia Curry wrote a letter to God, asking him to help her find a way to get a comforter and refrigerator she needed for college. She would be the first in her family to attend college when she headed to Albany State University.
“My family has really been going through a lot lately because my mom is a single parent and she’s also disabled and it’s kind of been a struggle just trying to get everything I need,” Curry told NBC affiliate WMGT.
Her prayer floated throughout the night and landed into the hands of a local minister, who granted the wish.
“When praises go up, blessings come down, and that was one of these cases,” said Minister Jerome Jones.
