Fiance charged in disappearance of woman last seen on Thanksgiving

National News

COLORADO (NBC News) — Colorado police have made an arrest in the case of missing mother Kelsey Berreth, last seen alive in public on Thanksgiving.

Berreth’s fiance, Patrick Frazee, was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

The arrest comes after days of searching Frazee’s ranch property and the victim’s townhouse.

“Investigators have recovered a number of items that make us suspicious the crime did occur at Kelsey’s residence,” Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said Friday.

Frazee told police the last time he saw Berreth was the afternoon of Thanksgiving when he picked up their daughter.

A judge has sealed his arrest affidavits, and investigators will not speculate on the location of Berreth’s body.

“Nothing is more important to all of us that understanding the circumstances of Kelsey’s murder and bringing Kelsey and her family justice,” De Young said.

The couple’s 1-year-old daughter is in protective custody awaiting reunification with Berreth’s family.
