Dream job pays you to travel and eat barbecue

National News

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Eating barbecue is great enough, but what if you were paid to do it, too? A contest is open to find someone to travel the country and taste test the best barbecue (which we all know will be found in Texas).

Reynolds Wrap announced it is looking for a “Chief Grilling Officer,” to help share tips and techniques, and it’s looking for that person among the country’s “pit masters, grilling fanatics and barbecue fans.”

The person they hired will work for two weeks and receive a $10,000 stipend, plus prepaid travel and lodging for themselves and a guest.

“So, if you don’t mind being paid to taste test some of the most delicious grilled dishes from across the country, posting envy-inducing pictures of your finds and falling asleep every night dreaming about your next meal, then you could have what it takes,” the company said on its website.

People can apply by emailing ReynoldsCGO@gmail.com and writing in 100 words or less why they would be the ultimate Chief Grilling Officer, and include a photo of their favorite grilling recipe.
