San Diego, CA (KXAN) — Major clothing retailer, Charlotte Russe will begin its liquidation sales Thursday. The company announced it was closing all of its stores and negotiating to sell its intellectual property, according to a report by USA TODAY.
“We are partnering with the buyer and remain in talks to sell the (intellectual property), are optimistic about the future of the brand, and remain in ongoing negotiations with a buyer who has expressed interest in a continued brick and mortar presence to continue to serve our loyal customers in the future,” the fashion retailer said in a statement to the newspaper.
All sales are final and court documents say sales will end “no later than April 30.” The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February and announced its plan to close 94 stores.
There are four stores in the Austin area, with one outlet at the Lakeline Mall.
Charlotte Russe has more than 8,700 employees.
