Bulldog separated from best friend, Sal the goose

National News

Sal the goose is looking for her best friend, Sadie the Bulldog.

The two make for an unlikely duo, but over time their friendship has blossomed. WRAL reports the goose appointed herself the boss of Sadie and attacked anyone who came near her.

Recently, the couple in Lillington, North Carolina, wandered too close to the road. Drivers who saw them stopped to take pictures and tried to corral them from harm’s way. One person posted on social media: “Unable to catch… very thin/scared bulldog with very protective goose. Obviously a pair.”

A witness says an unknown woman came by and looped a leash around Sadie, ignoring Sal’s honking protest. One post says the goose chased after the car for a little while but gave up.

Tiffany Huff and her husband own Sadie and are hoping for her safe return.

“I’d like for them to bring her back,” said Huff. “She’s my husband’s dog, and he’s 100 percent disabled. It would be nice for him to have his pet back.”

Since Sadie’s disappearance, Sal has been moping around.
