ALBANY, Ind. (KXAN/NBC) — How would you like to receive a surprise visit from Batman? That’s exactly what happened to a boy in Indiana who’s been battling brain cancer for more than a year.
Batman pulled up to Albany Elementary in his Batmobile to spend some time with Christian Daughtery. The superhero entered the school’s auditorium where he greeted Christian with a warm hug.
Christian, 7, has undergone four brain surgeries since being diagnosed with cancer. Monday’s surprise visit by Batman was aimed at lifting Christian’s spirits before he goes in for an MRI scan Tuesday.
Christian says he felt amazing after hanging out with the Dark Knight. “I’ve never felt so loved and carried on everybody’s back and just lifted up, but yet my son is battling cancer,” said Christian’s mother Amanda.
