$3.6M worth of fentanyl found near Dayton, Ohio

National News

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A joint task force in Clark County, Ohio seized approximately 20 pounds of fentanyl with a street value worth $3.6 million Tuesday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said the Miami Valley Bulk Smuggling Task Force completed the drug bust. Authorities discovered the drugs after a series of traffic stops led them a home in New Carlisle, Ohio.

“They had a very elaborate set up in the vehicle. They had a lead liner in the vehicle, they had the lead so the x-rays can’t detect the pockets and the drugs in the pockets.”

The seizure is tied to a drug cartel and landed four men in jail, three of whom are from Mexico.
