Motorcyclist killed in east Travis County wreck overnight Monday identified

DPS investigating motorcycle crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A motorcyclist killed in a wreck in east Travis County Monday night was identified Thursday by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. 

Manor resident 34-year-old Corey Harrison Rives was riding his 1996 Harley Davison FDX north on the State Highway 130 toll road near Farm-to-Market 969. 

Investigators say he was speeding and rear-ended a utility being towed by a semi-truck. 

The wreck happened at 11:42 p.m. Monday, according to original tweets by Austin-Travis County EMS. Rives died at the scene at about 12:08 a.m. Tuesday.
