Missing Canadian man visiting New Braunfels found

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — A Silver Alert has been canceled after a missing Canadian man visiting New Braunfels was found in Temple.

The alert was issued after Phillip Grant Riddell, 73, of Manitoba, Canada was seen leaving a business in the 300 block of Landa Street. Riddell was found driving the wrong way down Interstate 35 after midnight, Feb. 10.

New Braunfels police say although Riddell is a “Winter Texan,” he is not familiar with the area and may have become lost.

He has been diagnosed with Dementia and several other medical conditions, and was without his medication.

Riddell is described as 5’10”, 185 lbs., with a stocky build. He has blue eyes, gray hair and moles on his chin and next to his left nostril. He was seen wearing a red windbreaker and blue jeans, and was last seen driving a white 2015 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Manitoba license plates (J26117), specifically a Winnipeg Jets license plate.
