MARBLE FALLS, Texas (KXAN) – A man who, Marble Falls police said, was hallucinating while holding a gun prompted a stand-off Wednesday afternoon.

Timothy Clark Cooper, 53, was taken into custody by officers at 6:04 p.m. after a negotiator was able to get him to come out of his home and surrender the weapon.

The incident began in the 1100 block of Mulberry Drive around 2:30 p.m. when the police department received a call from Cooper’s neighbor. The neighbor said Cooper was claiming people were in his house. When the neighbor went to check, only Cooper was found, holding a gun and ‘hallucinating.’

Cooper will be booked into the Burnet County jail on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Brandishing of a Firearm and Possession of Marijuana after he is medically evaluated. The Brandishing of a Firearm and Possession of Marijuana charges stem from warrants issued after a previous incident.

Jail records show previous charges of Disorderly Conduct/Displaying a Firearm for Cooper, including one from earlier in May.
