Manor crash kills Elgin teen, injures three other people


MANOR, Texas (KXAN) – A 17-year-old driver was killed and three other people including a child were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Manor Sunday night, said Austin-Travis County EMS.

It happened just after 10 p.m. in the 18600 block of Blake Manor Road near East Metro Park in Manor. The Texas Department of Public Safety says Robert Antonio Cruz Argueta of Elgin was driving southbound on Blake Manor Road when he traveled into the northbound lane and struck a Saturn Ion.

Argueta, who DPS says was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. ATCEMS says they also transported another man to the hospital with potentially serious injuries. STAR Flight took a woman in her 30s and a girl to Dell Seton Medical Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center, respectively. The woman had potentially serious injuries and the girl had serious injuries, ATCEMS said.
