Man shot, injured at North Austin cabaret


AUSTIN (KXAN) – A man is in the hospital after being shot in North Austin, early Sunday morning. This is the third shooting in the Austin area in only a few hours, following two shootings in downtown Austin earlier Sunday that resulted in one death and three injuries.

It happened at the 16000 block of North Interstate 35, just south of West Louis Henna Boulevard, at around 5:10 a.m.

Travis County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an altercation in the parking lot of Foxy’s Cabaret, where they found a man shot in the abdomen. According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the man was taken to Round Rock Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say one person is in custody in connection with the shooting.
