Man shot during house party in South Austin


AUSTIN (KXAN) – One man is recovering after a shooting at a house party in South Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of S. 2nd Street.

Austin-Travis County EMS took the man in his 20s to University Medical Center Brackenridge. His injuries were not life-threatening.

APD officers detained several people in the area for questioning, but it’s not clear if anyone has been arrested.
