WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for its Citizens Academy, a program designed to give residents a working knowledge of the sheriff’s office and the criminal justice system.
The academy aims to foster community relationships and to build a better understanding between citizens and the sheriff’s office through education. The sherrif’s office hopes that the program will increase knowledge and rapport between it and the community.
The class will held Thursday nights beginning March 7 and continuing for 10 weeks. Applications must be received by Feb. 8.
