He’s already joined the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department team, and now he’s got a name. Meet K-9 Fuze.
WCSO hosted a poll, took suggestions and finally narrowed down the options for its bomb/apprehension K-9 last week. Some of the other options included Boom, Karma and Bolt, but Fuze ended up winning out.
“It was a tough choice with so many great names,” Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted. K-9 Fuze’s partner is Deputy Cole, and according to another tweet, Fuze is more of an early riser.
Last week, the Austin Police Department also introduced its newest bomb-sniffing K-9, which has yet to be named.
