SWAT situation in Round Rock ends peacefully

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Round Rock police officers say the SWAT situation near the intersection of Kenney Fort Boulevard and Forest Creek Drive has ended peacefully. 

RRPD said SWAT officers responded to a barricaded and armed suicidal person, who has since been detained. 

Police say there is no danger to the public.

In a 6:21 p.m. tweet on Tuesday, police told people to avoid the area. Officers say no one was injured in the incident. 

Residents told KXAN they were being blocked from entering their neighborhood by police.
