Round Rock officer continues recovery after being hit by drunk driver

The Round Rock officer who was struck by a suspected drunk driver while he investigated a crash on Interstate 35 has moved to a rehab facility, Round Rock Police tell KXAN. 

Officer Charles Whites, an 18-year veteran of the department, was struck Feb. 25th.

The Round Rock Police Officer’s Association is having a fundraiser for Whites’ family on April 15. The benefit will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Baca Center in Round Rock.
