ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Central Texas singers will soon try out for the chance to perform the National Anthem at an upcoming Round Rock Express game.

Tryouts will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 4 for individuals and groups to perform during the team’s 20th anniversary season.

Participants will audition for a panel of judges, singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in a traditional military style that is under 90 seconds long. If selected, performers will sing the same version of the anthem they used during their audition.

Those who are unable to attend open auditions can submit video recordings via email to srichards@rrexpress.com. Video submissions will be evaluated after in-person auditions are complete and selected performers are notified.

People can get more information from the Round Rock Express website.
