PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — One person died early Monday morning following a crash in Pflugerville, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. on Dessau Road, about 1.24 miles east of Austin, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Jacob MacDuffee, 20, was riding his 2007 Suzuki Colt south on Dessau at an “unsafe speed,” DPS said. He wasn’t able to go around a curve and instead hit a curb. He was thrown from the bike and hit a light pole.
DPS said it is still investigating.
