WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – A man drowned at a pool at an apartment complex in Williamson County on Saturday evening, said the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened around 6:50 p.m. in one of two pools at the Marquis at Brushy Creek Apartments, which is located off Ranch to Market Road 620 near State Highway 45.

The Sheriff’s Office said surveillance video from the apartment shows the man sitting alone in shallow water bobbing his head up and down in the water until he stops moving. No one else was in the pool while he was doing this.

“We’re not clear on what he was attempting to do,” said Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody. “We just know what the result was.”

The man was identified as Timothy Taylor, 55.

Sheriff Chody said that they do not know if alcohol or a mental health issue played a role in the man’s actions.
