To give students another fun option for lunch, Leander Independent School District rolled out a food trailer that travels among the campuses.
The trailer started serving up meals April 10, kicking off with fresh grilled bacon cheeseburgers at Glenn High School. The trailer stays put at high schools in the district for a set period of time and then moves on to others. It’ll be at Glenn High School for another week, before heading to Rouse High School.
The district tweeted that the LISD child nutrition partnered with their food service management company to provide more choices for students.
Austin ISD has a similar program with two Nacho Average Food Trucks. One stays put at Anderson High School and the other travels around serving reimbursable meals like students might find in the cafeteria.
