The main lanes of Interstate 35 will be closed in Georgetown and Round Rock Sunday morning for a utility line installation and a police investigation.
The Texas Department of Transportation says the Round Rock closure will affect the northbound lanes of I-35 from Ranch to Market Road 620 to Farm to Market Road 1431 and will last from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m. This closure is to allow police the space to reconstruct a police scene.
The Georgetown closure will affect north and southbound lanes of I-35 from Southeast Inner Loop to Westinghouse Road and will last for about 30 minutes starting at 7 a.m.
During the closure, crews will be installing a power line over the highway. Drivers are encouraged to use State Highway 130 to avoid the closure.
Officials ask that drivers plan for extra time in their commute.
