DPS identifies Georgetown man killed in rollover crash east of Jarrell

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson released the identity of a man who was killed in a rollover crash just east of Jarrell on Sunday.

Michael Lynn Wilson, 53, was pronounced dead at 1:47 p.m., the spokesperson said.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office and State Troopers responded to the crash in the area of the 3000 block of CR 303 east of Jarrell. A preliminary crash report shows he was driving south on CR 303 and drove off the roadway onto the shoulder, went sideways through a wired fence and flipped over.

The DPS spokesperson originally said it involved a motorcycle, but later found that it was actually a 2006 Honda CRV.

It is unknown what caused the crash at this time.
