Dog that ran from crash that killed his owner reunited with her mother

Williamson County

LIBERTY HILL (KXAN) — Probie, the dog who went missing in Liberty Hill after being involved in a car crash that killed his owner, has been reunited with the woman’s mother.

Almost immediately after Katie Kerr was killed in a double head-on crash, the search began for the dog who survived and ran away in fear. The Liberty Hill community helped search after Kerr’s family began a Facebook page, Help Find Probie.

All-in-all, Probie was lost for eight days. He was found after wandering into someone’s yard in Liberty Hill — a woman who reported the sighting to the Facebook page.

Probie was reunited with Kerr’s mother on Monday — a small moment of joy for a family still dealing with the loss of Katie.
