WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office have taken an armed man who barricaded himself inside his home in Georgetown into custody on Sunday.

Streets in the Rancho Sienna neighborhood were closed off and neighbors were asked to stay inside.

Deputies responded to a check welfare call at 511 San Marco Trail around 4 p.m. The area is just south of Highway 29 and East of Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the man barricaded himself in the home when deputies arrived.
