Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander shut down after autoped crash

LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander is shut down after a driver hit a pedestrian on Thursday.

Leander police got a call to respond to the crash at the intersection of Bagdad Road and Crystal Falls Parkway around 9 a.m. The area is southwest of Gateway Shopping Center. 

Williamson County EMS medics took the driver and the pedestrian to St. David’s Round Rock. The pedestrian, who is in his 50s, has serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the 20-year-old driver is in critical condition.

The Leander Police Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating. 

All of westbound Crystal Falls Parkway starting at Bagdad Road is shut down. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
