Chase ends when suspect crashes into patrol vehicle

Williamson County

A short chase Sunday afternoon ended with a crash and suspect in custody, said the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened near the Round Mountain area around noon, officials said.

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said the suspect was believed to be wanted for warrants on aggravated assault.

The suspect ended up ramming into a law enforcement vehicle. Officers had to use non-lethal rounds to detain the suspect.

A K9 was in the unit that was hit. Sheriff Chody said K9 Nemo is OK, but disappointed he didn’t get to chase, so he will just have to be happy with his Kong Toy.
