Brigadier General shares Christmas story time with kindergartners

FLORENCE, Texas (KXAN) — Kindergartners at Florence Elementary School received a visit from a special visitor Thursday.

Commanding General of Operational Test Command at Fort Hood, William Taylor, read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to four classes. It’s a story he read several times as a child, then to his own children and his grandchildren.

“This really means a lot for me as a commander to share a little time with families in Florence and let them know how much we appreciate them and how much they do to support us in the military here at Fort Hood and surrounding areas, so it’s really an honor,” Taylor said.
