The annual Autism Bike Ride and Fun Run drew a big crowd in Georgetown Sunday morning.
The ride offers a little something for bike riders of all abilities with a 9-mile, 24-mile and even 68-mile loop — all ending at Georgetown High School.
All proceeds support the work of the Autism Society of Texas.
“It’s used for advocacy. It’s used for adult recreation events. We have a social worker on staff that you can call to navigate schools and therapists,” said Jacquie Benestante, who is with Autism Society of Texas. “All that money goes so we can make our programs free for adults and children with autism.”
Today’s event also included a 5K Fun Run and walk for people of all ages.
