AUSTIN (KXAN) — An 11-year-old girl remains in the hospital, while a 10-year-old is back home Monday after they crashed this weekend while riding on a four-wheeler in northern Williamson County.
Officials first tweeted about the crash just before noon Sunday. Deputies said the two friends struck a rock and flipped the four-wheeler near a home that they were visiting on County Road 215 in Florence.
The older girl was flown to an Austin hospital Sunday. A spokesperson for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that she is now in stable condition.
A family friend set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the girl’s mounting medical expenses.
The younger girl was discharged from the hospital Monday, according to the sheriff’s office spokesperson. KXAN could not reach her family for comment.
