AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Travis County Sheriff's office says two bodies with gunshot wounds were found in southeast Travis County Friday morning.
Authorities say a driver called 911 at 7:06 a.m. about a man lying in a front yard on the 12000 block of Von Quintus Road. That's near State Highway 130 and US Highway 183.
TCSO spokesperson Kristen Dark says deputies found the bodies of a man and a woman, both in their 20s, in the area. Dark says it appears both knew each other. She said they don't believe the public is in danger.
In July, the body of a 31-year-old was found on Von Quintus Road, and the sheriff's office said at the time there were suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
"It's deja vu, it's terrifying, my kids are terrified," said one of the neighbors who live on Von Quintus Road. "Terrifying because this is three murders or bodies in a little over a month."
Both of the crime scenes from July and Friday can be seen from the woman's yard. "I didn't hear nothing, and what's bad is my room is right here and I didn't hear nothing," she said.
Investigators say they are still investigating the case surrounding the body found in July, and are unsure if the two scenes are related.
"It's too early to connect it to anything, and we're not ruling anything out either," said Dark.
Neighbors say they are left feeling on edge and are asking for any help they can get to find peace of mind. "For the police, please start patrolling out here more often, please," said the woman.
Deputies say they can't give us any details about the weapon used or if they have found one Friday morning.
