An alligator was spotted in Llano County over the weekend, and officials say people should keep their eyes open for any more sightings.
Photos of the alligator show it next to a tree and near brush. Tim Lewis says he took the pictures near Skyline Drive in Kingsland.
The Llano County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of someone seeing an alligator Saturday and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department sent an animal control officer to investigate. That person didn’t see the gator, and no one else has reported seeing one since.
“Our wardens are available to follow-up on future sightings and will take appropriate action to relocate a gator if it is at risk or poses any potential threat to human safety,” TPWD said.
Anyone who sees an alligator in the area can call LCSO dispatch at 325-247-5767 to report it.
