KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — Construction on Lehman Road in Kyle starts Monday, which means the road will be closed down from FM 150 to Masonwood Drive for several months.
A release from the City of Kyle says residents should be prepared for detours from westbound and eastbound FM 150.
The construction is expected to take about two years, and the closure from FM 150 to Masonwood Drive will last several months, according to a release.
The contractor will be installing a 30-inch waste water line and a reclaim line that will service the community, make drainage improvements along the road up to Masonwood and add turn lanes and a sidewalk.
The Hays Consolidated School District’s transportation department is planning their routes accordingly.
The shopping center located at Lehman Road and FM 150 will be accessible during the contruction.
Lake Kyle will be closed to the public beginning March 25 and the Parks and Recreation Department’s headquarters will be relocated across from Old City Hall and Krug Activity Center on Burleson Street.
