AUSTIN (KXAN) — Just in time for the bustle and busyness of the holidays, there’s a new way to order groceries and pick them up without setting foot in the store.
Amazon joins other stores in Austin, like H-E-B, Target and Walmart, in adding an option to order food online and then pick it up at a store.
People can use the Amazon Prime Now app to order groceries and then pick them up from participating Whole Foods stores. The service is offered in 26 cities. Austin; Annapolis, Maryland; Greenville, South Carolina; Memphis, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida are the new cities added to the program as of Tuesday.
People can get free pickup in an hour for orders more than $35, or pay $4.99 to pick it up in 30 minutes.
