YMCA Camp Moody introduces children to archery

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Central Texas children are being given a chance to learn about bows and arrows, as the YMCA of Austin offers their “Aim High Archery Camp” July 16-20 at YMCA Camp Moody on Onion Creek

With an increased popularity in archery from films such as “The Hunger Games,” Camp Moody wants to give children the opportunity to explore the sport for themselves.

Children age 8-13 will be able to learn and test their archery skills.

Thomas is a young camper who is attending the camp.

“I like shooting. Like I like shooting targets. It’s just fun,” said Thomas.

The “Aim High Archery Camp” started Monday, July 16, and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The camp will continue through Friday, July 20, and there are still openings for campers
