AUSTIN (KXAN/ABJ) — The Refinery, a downtown Austin coworking space geared toward women, is expected to close at the end of the month. Parking was a major issue at the 612 Brazos St. location, according to CEO and founder Hayley Swindell-Wakefield.

Members of the Refinery, which recently switched to a female-only model, will be able to join a new coworking space that just entered the Austin market called The Riveter, located at 1145 W. Second St. Those people who have to switch will pay $225 a month, instead of the usual $375 a month.

Swindell-Wakefield told the Austin Business Journal The Refinery will continue to honor previously scheduled event reservations in its building, but it isn’t booking anything new.
