Woman reportedly drove drunk, crashed with kids in car


PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — An Austin woman has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk and crashing while two children were inside the vehicle, according to an arrest warrant.

According to the warrant, Courtney Megan Reeves, 30, was driving on northbound State Highway 130 in Pflugerville when she colided with a toll booth baricade. 

Upon being stopped, Reeves was observed to have bloodshot/glassy eyes, slurred/mumbled speech and swayed movements. After failing several field sobriety tests, Reeves was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

Police also administered a blood test.

According to the warrant, two children — ages two and five — were also inside the vehicle at the time. Police also discovered an open container of beer in the car’s center console.

Reeves is charged with a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. Her bail is set $8,000.
