AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday, Austin police took into custody a woman who allegedly ran away from officers while naked.

According to an arrest warrant, police responded to a call reporting that Sharika Turner, 35, was running naked at East Sixth and Brazos streets. The woman is said to only be wearing socks and a headdress.

Upon seeing officers, Turner reportedly ran away as an officer was yelling for her to stop. She then ran into a public toilet on Brazos Street and as an officer approached, ran back out — still naked — down the road.

Officers finally located the Turner on East Fifth Street, in front of the Westin Hotel.

She is charged with evading on foot, a state felony. Her bail is set at $6,500.
