Grabbing some fast food could mean providing more food for people in need Thursday night. A Whataburger in south Austin is partnering with the Central Texas Food Bank for a fundraiser.
People can go to the restaurant at 1908 W. Ben White Blvd. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and have 20 percent of their purchase donated to the food bank. There will also be activities for those who stop by, including door prizes. The first 100 guests will also receive a special Whataburger prize.
The Central Texas Food Bank provided 45 million meals to people in need last year, according to its website. People interested in helping out can learn more about volunteering online or can donate directly.
