AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Fire responded to a water main break in south Austin Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the break occurred along Kinney Avenue near Oltorf Street. One resident said after the break, the street and front lawns in the neighborhood were underwater.
AFD has stated that some residents may be without water for ‘several hours.’ The break was fixed as of 5:30 a.m. A worker on site told a KXAN photographer cleanup and roadwork might take until 7 a.m. An internet fiber cable in the area was also damaged.
They are currently investigating the cause of the break.
