Victim identified in fatal Leander crash over the weekend

LEANDER (KXAN) — A fatal crash in Leander shut down the southbound lanes of Ronald Reagan Blvd and eastbound 2243 Saturday.

A 46-year old male driver of a Ford SUV was traveling on Ronald Reagan Blvd., when it left the lane of travel and struck another Ford SUV, operated by a 36-year old female, which was traveling eastbound on F.M. 2243.

The Leander Police Department identified Cari Papick as the driver killed in the collision.

The male driver was transported to St. David’s Round Rock hospital for treatment.

No charges have been filed, but Leander Police is still investigating.

Authorities asked drivers to find alternative routes as the roads were shut down for a majority of the day before reopening around 6:30 p.m.
