AUSTIN (KXAN) — Loud booms and pops will be coming from the stadium on the University of Texas at Austin campus as the athletic department tests fireworks.

The pyrotechnics will go off from 10-11 a.m. at Darrell K. Royal-Memorial Stadium, UT police say.

“It will be both visible and loud,” police tweeted.

The Longhorns host their first home game Sept. 8 against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes.
