Two hurt when car crashes into tree in south Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people went to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries late Sunday night after a car crashed into a tree in south Austin.

At 10:46 p.m., the car crashed on the 1200 block of West Oltorf Street. A man and a woman were hurt, Austin-Travis County EMS said. It’s not clear if both were in the car at the time.

The car caught on fire but was put out, according to Austin police.
