AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texans proved once again on Thursday that they’re willing to do ‘anything for Selenas,’ and they took to Twitter to gush about it.
Grocery store chain H-E-B put limited edition tote bags on sale Thursday featuring the beloved 90s Tejano star, Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
This isn’t the first time H-E-B has sold limited edition Selena merchandise and each time, the mania surrounding the star has boosted sales.
Die-hard fans lined up in the early hours of Thursday morning outside H-E-B stores around the state to snag the bags.
One Twitter user said she stood in line three times to get more and more bags as there was a two bag limit in store.
Some say they became victims of peer pressure.
Priced in store at $2 each, the bags soon hit eBay, selling for as high as $90.
Even journalists were not immune to the hype. Joy Sewing, Joey Guerra and Greg Morago with the Houston Chronicle shared a boomerang of their Selena excitement.
But some were definitely NOT impressed.
And this guy just wanted milk for his cereal.
