Travis High School, Travis Heights Elementary cleared after lockdown


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police have declared the areas of Travis High School and Travis Heights Elementary safe after reports of an armed person in the area caused both schools to lockdown on Tuesday afternoon.

According to AISD Police Chief Ashley Gonzalez, the area is safe after dismissal was delayed while police investigated.

All schools are resuming regular activities.
