AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Travis County inmate is facing new charges Tuesday morning after he’s accused of threatening to kill a judge and his family in court on Monday.
Danny Pace was originally charged with assaulting a family member over the weekend. In an expletive-filled tirade against the judge, Pace claimed that he was innocent and that he “didn’t assault anybody,” according to an affidavit.
His tirade continued when he began making racially charged remarks towards the judge and threatened to find and kill his family, the affidavit said.
Pace is now being charged with obstruction and his bail is set at $11,500. He is currently being held at the Travis County correctional complex.
