Traffic fatality on SH 130 in Pflugerville, southbound lanes closed for 6-8 hours


PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — Southbound lanes of State Highway 130 near the Pecan Street exit were closed nearly all day after a fatal crash Thursday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. 

The southbound lanes at SH 130 and Pecan Street were closed for most of the day, causing major delays. Police responded to the call of the incident at 10:15 a.m.

Three large trucks and three smaller passenger vehicles were involved in the crash. Police have reported that one person was transported to the hospital and one person has been confirmed dead.

A tweet from TxDOT stated that hazmat crews were on the scene to clean a fuel spill.

SH 130 southbound reopened around at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night.
