Traffic fatality on I-35 near Braker lane shut down road for hours

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A traffic fatality involving multiple vehicles in north Austin Sunday morning completely shut down a portion of Interstate Highway 35 for hours, according to Austin police.

Authorities responded to the 10400 block of I-35 near Braker lane around 3:51 a.m. 

Two patients were taken to the Round Rock Medical Center. One man was declared deceased on the scene.

All northbound lanes of I-35 at Braker lane were closed for hours with traffic being diverted onto the frontage road.

This was the second multi-vehicle crash in I-35 Saturday morning. The first took place on I-35 near Wells Branch Parkway.
