AUSTIN (KXAN) — Tickets for the 54th annual Austin Trail of Lights are now on sale, starting at $3.
Half of the 14 open nights don’t cost anything at all, starting with the official grand opening on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., where general admission is free and open to the public.
For the uninitiated, the Trail of Lights displays two million lights wrapping through the tall trees of Zilker Park, along with popular food trucks, local musical talent, movies and activities.
If you’re wanting to avoid the entry lines, you can buy a ZIP fast pass, which starts at $20 per person. Platinum admission — which includes valet parking, a golf cart shuttle and access to a platinum lounge — is also on sale for $80 for an individual pass, $150 for a two-pack and $260 for a four-pack of tickets.
Check out opening dates and where to buy tickets at AustinTrailofLights.org. Attendees can also buy shuttle passes ($6 per person) and parking passes ($15 per vehicle) to make their journey to the park easier.
The annual Zilker Holiday Tree lighting and ceremony takes place on Sunday, Nov. 25.
Last year, the trail faced an unprecedented number of rainy day closures. The trail, previously never having to close for more than one night in its 53-year history, was closed for four nights in 2017.
