AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Monday, three James Bowie High School students reported graffiti on campus that read “school shooting April 15.”

According to Principal Mark Robinson, Austin Independent School District police immediately initiated an investigation, which included monitoring social media. So far, there has been no evidence to indicate that there is any credibility to the threat.

Robinson’s letter to parents says:

“Austin ISD takes all such threats very seriously. Threats of any kind to our school, students or staff are not tolerated and will be investigated immediately.”

AISD police will have additional officers on campus on April 15 and the public is encouraged to contact police if they observe any threatening behavior to AISD police at (512) 414-1703.
